Announcing Dr. Jared Brown

Greystone Theological Institute is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Jared Brown as Instructor in New Testament Greek. Dr. Brown is currently the pastoral intern at Grace Community Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Fort Worth, Texas. He earned his PhD in Biblical and Theological Studies: New Testament at Wheaton College. His dissertation analyzes the meaning and function of “the obedience of faith” in Romans. His research interests focus on New Testament Theology, Pauline Theology, Romans, and ancient Rhetoric and Epistolography. During his studies at Wheaton College, he taught Biblical Greek at Mid-America Reformed Seminary. Dr. Brown is currently working on an article on Paul’s use of Abraham as a rhetorical paradigm in Romans 4 and a book on faith and obedience in Romans. He and his wife, Melissa, have two children, Calvin and Adeline.

Dr. Brown taught Biblical Greek at Mid-America Reformed Seminary and co-taught Greek exegesis of Romans with Douglas Moo at Wheaton College. Dr. Brown has also presented a paper on Paul's use of Abraham in Romans 4 at ETS. He is currently teaching a class on Romans at Grace Community Presbyterian Church, and will be teaching New Testament Greek I this Spring for Greystone.

“In a time of declining interest in serious Greek and Hebrew education, Greystone is committed to the highest standards of rigorous biblical language training and study. We do not hold this commitment for academic reasons merely, but from the conviction that Holy Scripture is the inspired and sufficient Word of God for the Church of God. For this reason I am personally greatly pleased—and Greystone is thankful to the Lord—for the addition of Dr. Brown to Greystone’s team of excellent instructors. I am encouraged that Dr. Brown’s experience and expertise in the Greek text and classroom, rooted as it is in his love for the people of God, will benefit Greystone students for years to come.”

-Dr. Mark A. Garcia, President of Greystone Theological Institute

“I am humbled and excited to be the Greek instructor for Greystone Theological Institute. I look forward to interacting with the students and being part of the Greystone community.”

-Dr. Jared Brown
