Dr. Simut is reader in Comparative Literature and Literary Theory at Emanuel University of Oradea, Romania. In the course of her academic training, Ramona completed her bachelor studies with a double major in literature and theology from the University of Oradea, Romania, and afterwards pursued her theological interest at the School of Divinity, History and Philosophy within the University of Aberdeen, UK. Later on she commenced her doctoral studies in the Netherlands, where she was awarded her PhD in philology at Utrecht University in 2010.
