Advancing a Partnership in Theological Formation
Greystone Theological Institute operates with a strict nonprofit model that distinguishes our work in deliberate ways. We are driven by our vision for the theological and pastoral renewal of the Reformed Church and not by revenue, and so we are committed to keeping costs as low as possible for all students and event participants. Thus, the registration fees charged to participants for each GLC class and event are calculated to cover only the costs of the event, including materials, travel, and event-specific staff fees. The cost to Greystone is thus greater than the cost of any event, and includes the various operational costs the Institute bears in order to make its work possible.
The GLC Partnership Investment is a critical way in which the Institute’s financial model remains viable. This Partnership Investment is an annual amount proposed not by the Institute but by the GLC. It serves as the GLC investment in the Institute in support of its operational costs and development as well as helps fund student financial aid. Because these operational costs are a significant part of the Institute’s overall budget, and the Institute is entirely dependent upon individuals, churches, and groups who share Greystone’s vision for theological formation and renewal, we humbly request that the GLC regard this as a substantial, strategic, and long-term investment in the present and future work of the Church and her servants.
Still, we do not “charge” the GLC a fixed rate; we invite your proposal for what the GLC can do in terms of its annual investment. While it is an annual amount, the Institute is best served by monthly support payments, although an annual payment is certainly acceptable.
Please prayerfully consider what your GLC can do in terms of this Partnership Investment amount. We thank you for your collaboration in this form.
